What is the VEINCAS Vein Finder?
VEINCAS Vein Finder is a revolutionary new medical assistant device that uses vein visualization technology to locate, visualise, and inspect the condition of veins and vascular tissue within a patient’s body. The VEINCAS Vein Finder produces a real-time visual “map” of the veins on the surface of the skin.
It utilises Near-infrared (NIR) imaging for identifying veins on the body and can provide a real-time representation of the subcutaneous vasculature up to 6mm deep. Using the vein finder, doctors can detect much more information than they can with the naked eye. Doctors around the world will soon be wondering how they ever got around without the use of vein visualization devices.

Practical Applications
There may be a wide range of factors why a patient may have difficult venous access (DVA). Patient's with DVA can be put under a lot of stress and hassle due to multiple injection attempts. Factors that cause “difficult” veins can be:
- Conditions that cause changes in vascular conditions (such as diabetes, high blood pressure, etc.)
- History of repeated venipuncture/history of long-term infusion therapy
- Different patients have different skin, such as darker skin and excessive hair
- Skin changes such as scars or tattoos
- The age of the patient (newborn and elderly)
- Obesity
- Lack of body fluids
- Intravenous drug use
With the VEINCAS Vein Finder, you can effortlessly find the best venipuncture point regardless of the condition of the patient's veins.

The Problem
Student doctors or nurses may have more difficulty locating veins, which can cause more unnecessary hassle of the patient. Patients with skin infections, damaged veins, chronic illness, who are dark skined or obese will give even the most experienced doctors trouble finding the right vein. The Solution
To prevent unintentional patient discomfort, doctors, nurses, and health care professionals alike can use the VEINCAS Vein finder. The VEINCAS Vein Finder is a small, lightweight, and easy-to-use device that detects and projects veins on the patient's skin. Improve first venipuncture success, increase patient trust, and assess veins with ease with the VEINCAS Vein Finder.Venipuncture Complications
Patients must endure unnecessary stress and pain because of failed venipuncture. It may prolong surgeries, stress may increase for both parties and patients may even develop a hematoma. With the VEINCAS Vein Finder, we can resolve all these complications in no time. The VEINCAS Vein Finder produces a real-time visual “map” (using (NIR) light) of the veins on the surface of the skin, which allows for a quick and hassle-free venipuncture. Using its depth-mode, the VEINCAS also displays how deep the vein so the medical expert can assess at what angle they need to insert the needle for optimal accuracy and patient comfort. .The VEINCAS Vein Finder can bypass fine veins and prevent intravascular injections. By using a vein map of th ess.
Locating a suitable vein may present a problem for any experienced medical expert. There’s already plenty of tension on both ends of the needle without having difficulty detecting a vein. With the VEINCAS, you can ease the patient's nerves and perform a more reliable procedure.
Why choose VEINCAS Vein Finder?
Highly praised and recommend by Infusion Nurses Society(INS): Vein Visualisation Technology has been highly recommended and documented by the Infusion Nurses Society;
Save Time: Save critical time by using the vein finder to decrease the time needed to find a suitable vein. Using the VEINCAS vein finder doctors saved an average time of 38% on patients aged 0-2 and 10% on patients aged 0-17.
*Research on 323 cases in Rhode Island Hospital, published at the International Academic Conference on ‘Emergency Medicine’
Find veins quickly and effectively: Studies discovered that there was a 61% increase in the number of veins found and a 56% increase rate of the number of suitable veins found compared to traditional methods of visually finding the vein and palpation.
*Study conducted by The Medical School of Brown University and published in INS 2012.
Improves the success rate of the first venipuncture: increasing the success rate of the first venipuncture will quicken the process and increase patient satisfaction. With the vein finder, the first venipuncture success rate for patients with “difficult” veins was 58% compared to using traditional methods, which only gave a 25% first venipuncture success rate.
**The research conducted by Yonsei University in South Korea, the article was published in the European ‘Journal of Pediatrics’ in March 2012. SCI 1.890.
Increase Revenue: Failed IV sticks cost hospitals thousands of euros every year. By greatly improving the first venipuncture rate, hospitals and clinics around Ireland can greatly reduce their costs.
Improve Patient Satisfaction: Increase patient satisfaction and improve the doctor-patient relationship by making the venipuncture quick and painless. With the VEINCAS depth detection function, the doctor can even find the depth of the vein and can evaluate the angle needed to insert the needle for greater accuracy and patient comfort. Jefferson Memorial Hospital asked 32 patients to rate their venipuncture experience. The results show that the Vein Viewer assisted method resulted in a score of 4.19 whilst traditional methods scored 1.89.
Save and Store Images: Save and store images of patients veins to further assess them and keep records of the patient's vein condition.
Wide Selection Of Modes
Depth Detection Mode
The VEINCAS comes with several different modes to choose from.
The depth detection mode uses VEINCAS patented technology and allows the doctor to gauge the depth of the vein and determine the best angle needed to perform a safe and effective venipuncture.
Colour Mode
The veinmap can be projected in several different colours. This creates clearer and more readable projections on a wide variety of skin tones. Green light feature is on V800F model only while V800P supports all colours.
Brightness Mode
The VEINCAS can project with four different brightness settings: Low, Medium, High and Very High, this allows for a visable projection in dimly lit spaces.
Fine Mode
Fine mode focuses on the most prominent veins and removes any miscellaneous information.
SAFETY
The VEINCAS Vein finder is 100% safe and certified worldwide by the FDA, ISO, European Conformity Standards, SFDA & TUV. The V800 models cast 850nm dual-wavelength light. According to the international standards (refer to CIE S 009/E:2002), the radiation of infrared light lower than 1x102W/㎡ is safe for humans. The radiation value of our device is 2x10-4W/㎡, much lower than the international standard.
